It is time to take a real good break from golf, I keep throwing myself up against the wall and getting nowhere. I finished 48th shooting 73 - 76 - 77 in Paris, an embarrassing performance, and so far away from the kind of golf I am capable of playing. I am mentally drained, low on confidence and motivation, because of poor results the last many tournaments. There is no light at the end of the tunnel, just darkness.

European Tour Properties Senior Classic, Staysure Tour, Lighthouse Golf and Spa Resort, Bulgaria.

The second edition of the European Tour Properties Senior Classic is finished with a Swedish winner this time Magnus P Atlevi. Congratulations Magnus. Magnus motto for the week worked, “work less – achieve more” .

We played at an Ian Woosnam designed course in Bulgaria, and it got a lot of positive feedback from the Staysure Tour players. With a mix of very windy to almost dead calm, we saw every aspect of how the course can vary in difficulty.

Woburn is a challenging course and always difficult to make a good score on. It is very narrow from the tee and the greens are fast and undulated, a tough combination.

I am very pleased with my game the last two rounds shooting one under par on the weekend. I had the game to be a lot more under but I still make too many mistakes and it cost a lot of strokes over 54 holes. I finished tied 18th with rounds of 75 - 72 - 71 for a two over par total.

We are now mid week after playing the Willow Senior Classic at Hanbury Manor. It has taken me a little time to absorb last week and see the positives in finishing 24th with rounds of 70 - 73 - 70 for a total of 3 under par for the week. It took me some time to take it all in, because this week was very close to the last few weeks. Playing better than I am scoring. I got off to a bad start in the first round and fought back to play the last 13 holes in five under. Very happy with that performance.

I enjoyed a week at home in hot Florida and spending time with my wife and daughter. It is amazing how quickly a week goes by when you are having fun! I used some of the weekend to watch and study the players playing the last major of the year, the PGA Championship at Bellerive. I must say, I had great fun watching Tiger fighting his way through the last round and also see Brooks Koepka’s coolness beat the whole field in the end. Especially, the even temperament of Koepka, impressed me. He wasn’t put off by anything, something I can learn a lot from at the moment.

Staysure PGA Championship, the London Club, England.

Our last 72 hole tournament of the year is finished and I have just been through a very difficult time for four days. I thought I had left the big disappointment from last weeks back 9 in the Senior Open at St. Andrews behind, but that wasn’t the case. I made a huge mistake and carried the frustrations on to this week.

I must start out by expressing my excitement every time I play in a major championship with the best Senior players in the WORLD. It is such a privilege to be among the legends of the game and learn from them while playing next to them. I always make sure I look and learn from the best in the game.

Another week on the Staysure Tour is finished and for the second week in a row I will have to be satisfied with tied 23rd. Shooting level par for the tournament 74 - 70 - 72. I did my best again, even though I was challenged to the max, by a non working swing. I simply cannot get my upper and lower body to work together and it was one long struggle to find something that worked for the week. Thank god I have my good friend and caddy Gordon, he keeps me focused and makes a difference in every tournament.

First, a big congratulations to the winner of the Swiss Seniors Open, my friend and colleague Jean Francois Remesey. Well done my friend .

I had a great chance to shoot some good rounds on the weekend but couldn’t get a good score in the clubhouse. I shot 70 – 69 – 69 for a two under total and finished 23rd.
