I am back on the course after 6 weeks off from tournament golf. Let me start this blog with expressing my thanks to the whole organization behind the Costa Blance Senior Golf Masters. Fabulous golfcourse, beautiful hotel Melia Villaitana and great food all week. Wow, we are spoiled on the Staysure Tour, thank you all smiley.

I enjoyed some time with my coach Leif Nyholm before the tournament started. It is always a privilege to be around Leif, he makes everything sound so simple and puts things in to perspective for me. We discussed a plan for the winter and then went on to work on my swing for the week. Thanks COACH....:). I am working on a stronger grip, complete my swing, let the shaft point more left at the top of the backswing and last, keep my arms closer to the body at impact.

I shot even par for the tournament 73-71-72 and finished 29th. Not a good result, but I came here to get stronger mentally and I certainly passed with flying colours. My goal is to finish this year on a mentally high note and feel great going in to the winter break. I mastered my mind this week and it is a long time since this happened, Very pleased with my performance and my golf. I did my best and accept where I finished in the field. I made very few mistakes all week, which is a must to get good results.

I need to work on most parts of the game before I tee it up in Mauritius next week. I will have focus on a good finish in Mauritius and make it in to the top 30, who will go to the Tour final in the Seychelles the following week. Currently, I am around 35 on the order of merit and need to make up at least 5 spots. A good tournament will take care of that, but more important, stay strong mentally. Don't play results, play golf and do my outmost, that's all I can do. The rest will resolve itself.

Until then, happy golfing.

Steen.
