MCB Tour Championship Seychelles, Staysure Tour,

The final tournament of the 2018 season is played and another golfing year comes to an end. The course at the Seychelles had some of the most spectacular views I have ever seen on a golfcourse. The first 12 holes were played in a flat landscape and the last 6 holes were played in the mountains with severe drops and uphill challenges.

I finished 27th in the final this week and was not a good result. I struggled in the mountains and blew the whole tournament on those 6 holes. The first day was shortened to 12 holes because of rain and I shot a two under score in that round to be in tied 2nd before the second round. Played well in the second round before I hit the mountain holes and completely destroyed a good score on the last 6 holes. I did the same thing in the 3rd round, I just couldn't get comfortable on the last 6 holes with the small margins for error.

I was on the leaderboards late in to the second round the last two weeks, something I haven't been all year. It was a great feeling and it is the result of a better mental approach to the last three tournaments I played on the Staysure Tour. I know the mental part of the game has been lacking, so it is nice to see the work I have done since mid October is paying off. I will keep working on the mental side to come back stronger and more motivated in 2019.

I finished 32nd on the Staysure order of merit for 2018, I will take a break now and when January comes around then make a plan for 2019.

In the meantime, I wish all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thank you for touching base, reading my blogs and support me with positive mails and comments.

Enjoy the Holiday season.
