Murhof Legends, Austrian Senior Open, Graz, Staysure Tour.
Another golfing week has come to an end on the Staysure Tour with the Murhof Legends, Austrian Senior Open. It was a new tournament on our schedule and it was a great one. The Murhof Group went all in to stage a fantastic tournament and what an excellent week we had.
Apart from a rainy second round, we were blessed with the weather and made low scoring possible. Jose Coceres played one of the best rounds this year shooting 10 under 62 in the Saturday rain and in the end he was crowned the champion, congratulations Jose.
I shot rounds of 71 - 72 - 70 for a total of 3 under par and finished tied 27th. It was as good as I could do when averaging 34,3 putts per round. I made improvements during the tournament to my putting, but it never showed on the amount of putts. I had much better distance control this week and putting seemed more natural. I was more relaxed and at times had a great feel that I was going to make putts. Sadly, the putts only got close and lipped out, so I never really got a good putting round going. However frustrating it is and however good I played from tee to green, I will have to take the positives going forward and prepare for next weeks tournament in Forest of Arden, England.
I have a few days to work on my game and looking forward to playing next week, before we have a long break until the end of November.
