Travis Perkins plc Senior Masters. England. European Senior Tour.
A very tough week is behind me. I am still not feeling great and is very low on energy. I have fought my way through the week in great manner. I never got much going this week, but kept the score around par each round, and that is pretty good going on a very tight and tricky course.
I finished tied 12th with rounds of 73 – 71 – 73 for a one over par total of 217. I was never really sharp this week. I didn’t make enough putts and was miserable out of bunker. Got up and down once, and that is not good enough. The short game is better and in all I am happy with the state of my game. I am not far away from getting it all together. Besides bunker practice I also need to do some practice with my full sand iron and ¾ wedges. I have not hit it close enough from 80 to 110 yards all week.
First of all I need to get well again. I am trying to sleep as much as possible and rest before I go to Germany Wednesday morning. Before I go to Germany I will compete in the Hurdle tomorrow in Søllerød Golf Club and then I have a corporate day with FranklyWeb on Tuesday. It will be a busy week, but I love being busy and looking forward to teeing it up in Germany next week.
With todays result I moved in to 3rd spot on the European Senior Tour order of merit.
