US Senior Open Qualifying, Legacy Golf and Tennis Club, Florida.

We had a good breeze all day on the course. It made scoring very tough to the small and raised greens.

I have done a lot of good practice the last couple of weeks leading up to the US Senior Open qualification. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any tournaments to play before the qualifier. I wasn't comfortable in the beginning of the round, little uncertain about all. I found a good rhythm after a few holes and started to swing the club very well. I started on the 10th and I played well enough to be 3 or 4 under on my first nine, but the putts kept licking the lip of the hole. I was convinced I was going to shot a good score today. Got very unlucky on the my 10th hole. Thought I was in the middle of the fairway on a dog leg hole, but my ball must have bounce left in to the pine needles and I ended up making a double bogey out of nowhere. That hurt :( :( Never recovered. On top of that, I had 3 three putts on the last nine holes to shoot 3 over par 75. Very disappointing day at the office.

I must look at all the positives and there are many. The work I have done with coach Leif Nyholm is really working. I am very excited about my swing and the ball control on course. I hit SO many wonderful shots today, enough to have shot 68 today. Now, I've got to eliminate the stupid mistakes I make. Keep working on staying tough mentally and get the best out of my rounds.

The next tournament will be the Scandinavian Pro Am on Monday May 29th.  I will be on the putting green tomorrow, working away on getting my putting sharp for next Mondays tournament.
