The Dutch Masters, The Dutch, European Senior Tour, Holland.

If you are in the neighborhood of Rotterdam, you need to drive by the Dutch and play this course. The course is designed by Colin Montgomerie and European Golf Design,  and it has a very exciting lay out. Lots of water in play and the greens are very undulated with run off, so it is really a challenging course to master.

Senior Italian Open presented by Villaverde Resort, Italy. European Senior Tour.

Italy is high on my list of favorite places in the world, even more so after this week :).

We all knew the weather forecast was very bad from Saturday evening till Monday afternoon. There was a very high possibility that the tournament would only be two rounds, and that is exactly what happened. We teed off early Saturday morning from two tees to make sure all would finish the second round before the rain, thunder and lightning hit. Two rounds of 69 put me into tied for 3rd after two rounds, one shot behind the leaders going in to Sunday.

The Senior Scottish Open 2017.

I am currently crossing the Atlantic, on my way back to Florida and two weeks off from golf. I will focus on physical and mental fitness the coming two weeks, to be back on the European Senior Tour in England on August 25, for the Willow Senior Classic at Hanbury Manor.

Gordon, my caddie, has given me homework while I am in Florida, on how to become a great putter. I will follow his instructions and study Bob Rotellas wisdom, return to Europe and be AWESOME on the greens. Thanks Gordon, you are a big help on and off the course.

A very trying and confusing week is finished in beautiful Bad Ragaz, Switzerland. Trying because I tried a million things to make my swing work. Confusing because I was totally confused all week on my swing keys. I wasn't comfortable all week and the scores showed it. Shooting 68 - 74 - 70 to finish in 41st place was a bad week. Scores were low due to perfect greens and a well presented golf course. The weather was also very hot and the ball flew a long way all week.

It was tough to start the season today. When I teed off on the first tee, I was already 8 shots behind the leader, Chris Williams, whom was at 8 under at that time. Things brighten up as the day went by and I opened the year with a 66, six under and one shot off the lead :).

I played very well all day. It is a continuation of how I have played in the US this spring. I have gotten the shaft much more out in front of me, and my bad shots are a lot better. I am of course thrilled about this improvement and will focus on this change going forward.

A week has passed since I played in West Palm Beach and I have really done a great deal of constructive work on my game. I have been working hard on getting the club more shallow at attack, shaft not laid off at the top and on the down swing, short game (using a ten finger grip on my chipping), gripping the putter further down with my right hand and it all went well today :). I shot 67, five under, but sadly finished 5th, with only the top 4 players going on to the Chubb Classic in Naples this weekend.

I am back in Florida preparing for 2017.

We spent Christmas and New Years in Denmark, and had some great weeks of vacation. Had too much to eat and drink, but I guess that is part of the tradition ☺.
