The Senior Open Championship, Carnoustie, European Senior Tour

It was hard work all day, especially with the start I had. I got stock on a steep bank in the deep rough close to the green on my second shot on the first hole. Made a double bogey from there and had to fight hard to get back. Played well the next 13 holes and stayed at 2 over par. I didn't hit a fairway the last 5 holes and got caught in difficult lies in two bunkers. Sadly, I finished with 3 bogeys and shot 5 over for the day. Carnoustie will punish you and it certainly had my number today.

We had a perfect day for golf at Country Club of the South in Alpharetta, Georgia. This is one of the most beautiful courses I have played, but also a very tough course. Today was ideal conditions and the course didn't play long. We had a lot of short irons in to difficult pin placements, so accuracy was really important.

Got some revenge on the course today. Shot 71 to finish tied 71st for the tournament. Not what I looked for at the start of the week, but that's golf. I am actually happy with the way I hit the ball all 3 rounds. It wasn't great but it was good enough to shoot some good scores.

I got back to good putting in the final round, made everything from 8 feet and in and also a couple of other putts. It was a great feeling to get the putting back, and good to finish with a sub par round.

QUALIFIED! Shot 68 and finished tied 3rd to get one of the 5 spots for the tournament.

I am very relieved and happy to make it in to the tournament. I have been playing well over the last few weeks and it is no surprise I played well today, but you never know how it goes in a one day qualifying.

Very tough day at Suntree Country Club. The wind got up and a lot of pins were either at the very back or front of the green. With greens being very firm, it was difficult to get close to the pin and get a good birdie chance.

I didn't play great, but kept making pars. Missed a lot of greens by 3 to 10 feet and was able to putt it off the green to make pars. I stayed very patient and knew pars were good. I ended up making 17 pars and one bogey for a round of 73 to be level for the tournament and finish 3rd. Happy with this result :)

Great News from the Champions Tour.

I am 4 hours in to the flight from Copenhagen to Orlando, and on my way back to Florida. I was suppose to travel back to Florida on January 11, but it took longer for the American Embassy in Stockholm to produce my new immigrant visa. When they finally mailed the visa, my passport and the papers got lost in the mail and we had to wait for another 4 days to catch a flight. Happy to be on my way with an immigrant visa and a Green Card coming up.
