Champions Tour Qualifying stage 1, round 3, Houston Texas.

Perfect conditions today. 75 degrees, no wind and sunshine. The course is still very wet, but the greens are dry and even faster than the first two rounds.

It is very rare we putt on greens with such great speed. On top of the speed, they are very hard to read. The grain plays such a big impact on how the ball breaks and I really have a tough time seeing the right break and the right amount of break.

As Arnold Schwazenegger said: "I will be back", and I will :)

I didn't have a good day on the course or a good practice yesterday. Something was wrong and I couldn't put a finger on it. I tried to fix it on the range, but it was impossible to hit balls because the range balls were so bad. Every ball I hit sliced and then hooked because all the dimples on the balls were gone. Instead of spending time on the range with the bad balls I went on the course and hit a lot of shots and played 25 holes. It felt like I was moving a lot over the ball and couldn't get solid contact.

I traveled to Texas yesterday to play a practice round before todays pre qualifier event at Comanche Trace in Kerrville, Texas. Actually, I went to high school in Kerrville and is happy to be back in a town with a lot of good memories.

I left Sarasota at 4 o'clock yesterday morning to get 18 holes of practice in and finish at sun down in Kerrville. It was a good day on the course and I built on how I played last week in France. We were 45 players playing for 5 spots for next Tuesdays final Event qualifier for the San Antonio Champions Tour tournament.

Sitting at my friend Peters house in Montauroux and watching the rain come down over the French Riviera, while Peter is making us a gourmet vegetable/fruit juice to keep the mood high.

It started raining last night at 9:00 pm and it hasn't stopped yet. The first round of The French Riviera Masters has been cancelled and the tournament has now been cut to 36 holes. We will play the pro-am format tomorrow and then a 18 hole final day with only pros on Sunday.

I will spent some time in the fitness center this afternoon and get ready for tomorrows round.

A good day on the course has come to an end. I finished with a score of one under par 70, and played good all day. I had a lot of chances on the back nine for birdies. I hit great iron shots and drove the ball well. I didn't hit the lines with the putter, but made some important putts in the beginning of the round.

Swiss Seniors Open final round, Bad Ragaz, Switzerland. European Senior Tour

I started the final round where I left the second round. Hit it great and close to the hole. Made a putt from 1 meter on the second for birdie and missed from 3 meters on the third hole. I took a chance on the fourth hole, a tight par 5, and went with the driver off the tee. It was a gamble and it did not pay off. I hit it in the trees and had to take an unplayable and made bogey. I tried to stay aggressive the next holes but that strategy got me another bogey on 6.

Bad Ragaz coming up.

I am sitting in Zurich airport waiting for the bus to leave for Bad Ragaz. I will wait for 2 hours and travel on the scheduled player bus taking us to the beautiful little Swiss town. It is one of the players favorite events. Great food, fun golf course, excellent organization and a very beautiful location.

I have had some time off to recover from all my back problems. Have been practicing the last 5 days carefully, being conscious not over doing the practice and provoke the back spasms again. I haven't had any back spasms the last 12 days, so hopefully I am past this hurdle.
